A British Chop House is steeped in history, ours is dating back to the 17th century. Originally a place where customers could purchase a chop of meat and a pint of ale, the chop house evolved to become a place to dine and socialize.
Our traditional establishment was popular among the working class, businessmen, and politicians alike, and we were known for our hearty meals and lively atmosphere. Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese has been a key part of London’s culture for centuries, with many famous writers and artists frequenting them. In fact, Charles Dickens has undoubtedly placed a part of “A tale of two cities” story in our Chop Room.
Today, our British Chop House continue to serve up classic dishes that have been enjoyed for generations. From Steak and Kidney Pudding to Sticky Toffee Pudding, these hearty meals are a delicious reminder of the history and traditions of British cuisine. So why not join us on a culinary journey through historic times and experience the flavors and atmosphere of a British chop house?
